About Peddamma Thalli Temple
Peddamma Thalli temple is in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad; the temple is the most famous in Hyderabad City. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, representing strength and courage. Peddamma temple timings are from 6 AM to 8 PM.
The Peddamma word consists of Pedda and Amma, which means Mother of Mothers. Peddamma Thalli/Goddess Durga is supreme among the 11 forms of Village deities (Mahankalis).
The temple was constructed 150 years ago and peaked in 1993 after completing Rajagopuram.
Besides the familiar devotees, the politicians, VIPs, and Industrialists also come to the temple and perform Poojas at Temple.
The other deities in the Peddamma Temple are Laxmi, Ganapathi, Saraswathi, and Naga Devatha. Peddamma temple is also dedicated to Santhana Laxmi, who sits on a lion. Peddamma Thalli is known as Gauramma and Ammavaru here. The temple was developed by Late P Janardhan Reddy, known as PJR took special care.

Festivals Celebrated at Peddamma Thalli Temple
The major festival celebrated at the temple is Bonalu, which comes on Ashsda Masam in the month of June-July every year. On the day of Bonalu, women carry an earthen pot decorated with neem leaves with turmeric and kumkum.
They prepare food in the pot with rice, jaggery, milk, and curd. The earthen pots are carried as an offering to the Goddess.
Rathotsavam is celebrated for four days on Ratha Sapthami in the Peddamma temple. It is said that the wishes of the devotees who worship Goddess Peddamma come true, and thus devotees come in flocks yearly from all over the world.
The devotees visit the temple for every festival and celebrate by performing special poojas for Goddess Durga.

Peddamma Thalli Temple is in the middle of Hyderabad city.
By Air: The nearest airport is Shamshabad Airport which is 36km from the temple.
By Rail: The nearest railway station is Secunderabad, just 6 km from the temple. There is a metro station with the temple as the stop and walkable distance.
By Bus: The temple is within Hyderabad city. Many buses reach the temple from different places, from MGBS is 14kms and from Secunderabad railway station.
