Kasu Brahmananda Reddy Park, or KBR Park, also called Chiran Fort or Chiran Palace, is one of Hyderabad’s most frequented tourist hotspots. In 1998, the state government declared this place a national park after the central government’s approval. Guided Tours:

Wildlife Viewing and Photography:
Everyone can see around 600 species of flowers and plants and more than 100 species of birds, other animals and reptiles at the KBR national park. Visitors can also get to see different small animals here. There is an exciting variety of butterflies in this national park.
Famous Places to visit at KBR National Park:
KBR national park expanded to around 142 hectares and had divided into two zones- one portion being smaller than the other. One zone has called the Conservation zone, while the other is named the Visitor’s area.
Zone 1, Conservation Zone:
The larger of the two divisions, Zone 1, has spread over 86.50 hectares. This segment of the park is dedicated primarily to the conservation of nature. Several planned activities include soil and wetness programmes, water conservation plans, maintaining ecological balance, etc.
Zone 2, Visitor’s Zone:
This zone has spread over an area of 56 hectares. Even though the Visitor’s location falls partially under the Wildlife protection act, there are particular pathways for visitors to navigate.

The park has a telephone connection. All the park staff members had provided with Wireless Networks & Mobile Phones. In 2014, installed32 CC tv cameras were in the national park by identifying the most strategic and vulnerable points where any threat to the wildlife and the visitors in their walkers’ path is possible.
Electronic Gates:
In 2015, an integrated bio-metric electronic system gate was installed at the main entrance and 2nd gate to avoid entry of anti-social elements into the national park and to provide safety to the visitors, Flora and Fauna in the national park.
Nature Camp Shed:
The nature camps are also conducted on Sundays for the benefit of the maximum no. of visitors as on Sundays, the Visitor no is more in these nature camps, environment friendliness and how to curb pollution and minimize the use of plastics in daily life.
Benches:
The Visitor’s lawns are created in 10 points at about one hectare for entertainment and resting. About 40 sit-outs are there in various places for sleeping of the visitors.
Watch Tower:
There are 2 Watch Towers in the National Park, viz., Mor Bungalow and the Watch Tower near Palace. Watch towers are located at vantage points where you can visit the entire park. Fire watchers shall be posted on these Towers during the dry seasons to detect fire accidents.
Tips for before visiting KBR National Park:
- It is advisable to leave the national park premises 30 minutes before the closure time since the authorities must ensure that visitors have kept in sight after sightseeing.
- Polluting the national park is strictly prohibited.
