Lumbini Park is officially T. Anjaiah Lumbini Park is a little public urban park of 3 hectares near Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad, India. It is a perfect place for amusement and relaxation, named after Siddhartha’s birthplace, who later came to be called the Lord Buddha. Park has designed by Raj Expedith Associates and operated by the Buddha Purnima Project Authority.

The Park cost 23.5 million on 3 hectares (7.5 acres) of land in 1994 near Hussain Sagar. In 2000, the Buddha Purnima Project Authority (BPPA) agreed to maintain Hyderabad’s specially assigned development areas. 

Among tourist attractions such as NTR Gardens and Necklace Road, It maintains by BPPA. To enhance the inflow of visitors, it built additional facilities for the laser auditorium and boating facilities, among other visibly appealing trademarks such as gardens and musical fountains, in 2006. Before, it calls T. Anjaiah, the former CM of Andhra Pradesh. Later it became Lumbini Park.

Boating At Lumbini Park:

Tourists and residents frequent Park majorly for its facility for boating on the serene waters of Hussain Sagar Lake. To enter the Park, you need to pay an entry fee of Rs.10. Boating price at Park is reasonable. The boating cost at the Park is Rs.50 per person for speed boating and Rs.40 per person for the ferry boat.

Apart from Park, there are some other places too in Hyderabad which offer the facility of boating. Durgam Cheruvu Lake, located just next to the Inorbit Mall, also offers its visitors the option of boating. Another place is the Mir Alam Tank; boating here can access through the Nehru Zoological Park.
