Gandipet Lake park is a Natural park and picnic spot overlooking a lake with play equipment, paved footpaths & seating areas. It is not just forts and palaces that established Hyderabad visiting places. Waterfalls, Gardens, and lakes such as Gandipet Lake present a beautiful touch of nature all over the city of Hyderabad. Also called Osman Sagar, Gandipet Lake has spread over 46 Kilometers. Gandipet Lake timings are 09:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Osman Sagar Lake has titled after the late seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, who, in 1920, constructed a Dam over the Lake to save the city from flooding. The Dam is the primary reservoir for the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad. Gandipeta lake is now one of the primary drinking water sources for Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

NTR Gardens:  

The Garden offers various kinds of recreational options as well. These include a boat ride, a Japanese Garden, Roaring Cascade, a Fountain, etc. Gandipet lake Park is near the gardens. There is a Children’s playing area that keeps kids entertained. The massive entrance plaza with Nandi Bulls is also quite captivating.

Mecca Masjid:

The building of the Makkah Masjid starts in 1617 CE, through the reign of Muhammad Qutb Shah, the sixth Qutb Shahi Sultan of the Golconda (now Hyderabad). The ruler, in person, laid its foundation stone. Across 8,000 workers were employed to build the mosque.

Chilkur Balaji Temple is one of the oldest temples in the village of Chilkur, which is 30 km away from Hyderabad. Balaji Temple is popularly called “Visa Balaji Temple” and sits on the banks of Osman Sagar Lake close to the Vikarabad road. Gandipeta lake park is near to Chilkur Balaji Temple.

The Birla Mandir temple has dedicated to the God Vishnu, present in the form of Sri Venkateswara. Indira Park is an open green space and park in the core of Hyderabad, India. The establishment stone for Indira Park was laid in September 1975 by the Late Faqruddin Ahmed, the then-leader of India. It was open for the general population in 1978 with finished landscaping.

Golconda Fort:

Golconda Fort is situated in the western part of Hyderabad, about 9 km from Hussain Sagar Lake. The outer fort holds an area of three square kilometres, which is 4.8 kilometres long.

Buddha Statue: 

The creation of the Buddha statue, which has carved out of a single stone, took nearly two years. About 200 sculptors have worked endlessly to give birth to this marvelous sculpture. It has cut out of white granite stone found on a mountainside near Nalgonda, located about 40 miles from Hyderabad.
