Dhekiakhowa Bornamghar is a Naam Ghar in the Jorhat district of Assam, India. Saint-reformer Madhavdeva established it. In 1528, Madhavdeva kindled an earthen lamp there, which, according to the naamghar’s managing panel, has been burning continuously afterwards, refuelled with mustard oil by the priests.

Saint reformer Madhavadeva, completing the class of the Ekasharan Nam Dharma, came to stay in his impoverished village. He took shield for the night at the hut of an aged woman, who provided him rice with the Dhekia Saak (believed to be poor women’s veggies, but a very popular and tasty one).
The older adult was very embarrassed to have provided the Saint Coach this way, but he was delighted by the dinner. So he started a namghar there and gave the responsibility of kindling the earthen lamp to the older adult. That is why the namghar was later called Dhekiakhowa namghar.
