History of Surendrapuri Temple
Surendrapuri temple is created and constructed single-handedly by Sri Kunda Satyanarayana. He was born in a farmer’s family in a small village near Khammam. As he was from a farmer’s family, he cannot pursue his higher education.
The idea behind the temple was the sudden death of his youngest son Surendra Babu. His deep and long-lasting love for Indian culture and tradition seemed apt to create the mythological park.
When he started to construct the temple, he faced many challenges, his old age, discouraging friends and society, and huge cost.
He kept aside all the obstacles and started working towards the project at the age of 70 years. It took over 10 years to complete Surendrapuri to a concrete shape. The temple stands for its powerful evidence of one man’s vision and determination.
