The magnificent Thoseghar waterfall Satara is located near the village of Thoseghar, 20 km from Maharashtra. The Falls is a range of waterfalls, some 15-20 m high, but fall from a maximum height of 200 m. The Thoseghar waterfall timings are from 9 AM to 6 PM.

The best time to visit Thoseghar Waterfall Satara is during the monsoon season, i.e. from July to November, when the falls look even more wonderful and spectacular.

Pratapgarh Hill

Pratapgarh is a hill fort in Maharashtra. The fort is located at an elevation of 3500 ft near the famous hill station Mahabaleshwar in Satara District.

Most forts remain intact, and the fort is a popular tourist destination. Four lakes are inside the fort, most overflowing during the rainy season.

There is a watchtower next to the Mahadarwaja or the main gate at the end of the motorbike road.

Vajrai Falls

Vajrai Falls, also known as Bhambavli Vajrai Falls, is 260 m. It is located in the Satara district of western Maharashtra.

This Vajrai waterfall is the source of the river Urmodi. The waterfall descends three steps from a vertical hill. This Fall is chronic and, therefore, will never dry up. It flows for a total of 12 months.

Sangam Mahuli

How to Reach

Road

To reach the Thoseghar waterfall by road, one must first go to Satara. Satara is just 270 km from Mumbai and 130 km from Pune and has a functional bus stand. From there, you can easily rent cabs or rickshaws for the falls.

However, the best way to reach is by personal or rental vehicle, as you can stop in the middle of the journey and enjoy the scenic beauty. This waterfall is located at a distance of 20 km to 25 km from the city of Satara.

Once you cross the city, you will come across a tunnel. The road in front of the tunnel leads to the Kos Plateau, and after crossing the tunnel, the road goes to Thoseghar Falls.

Air

Lohegaon Airport in Pune, located 100 km, is nearest to Thoseghar Waterfall. The airport was well connected to all the major cities in India.

However, the nearest international airport is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja International Airport in Mumbai, 200 km away.

There are direct buses from these two cities to Satara, and taxis are also available from both airports.

Rail

Satara Railway Station is the nearest rail station to Thoseghar Falls.

Frequent and regular trains to Satara from Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi and Kolkata exist. Thosegarh Falls has located 38 km from the railway station.
