Devotees from around the world visit temples throughout the year and even construct small images of houses near the temple premises, which is attractive. People do this hoping their Lord will fulfil their dreams of buying a home or making one. Here, Ganesha is worshipped five times daily through different “aartis”. The aarti, or the first worshipping ceremony, starts in the morning with the ‘morning aarti’ or the Prabhat Aarti.

Hindu mythology

Therefore, all year round, this Temple receives thousands of marriage invitations and wish-fulfilment letters addressed to Lord Ganesh, addressed with the faith that the Lord will fulfil the wishes of His devotees. Lord Ganesha is one of the five major gods. The elephant head of Lord Ganesha and the human body represents the soul (Atman) and Maya.

He is also known as Vighanharta (remover of obstacles from one’s life) and has worshipped as a famous deity in Jainism and Buddhism. Lord Ganesh is the son of Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati. It has said that Devi Parvati created a boy out of her body while bathing and asked him to guard the entrance of the bathing area.

history of Ranthambore Ganesh Temple

Trinetra Ganesh Temple

This historic Temple dates back to 1299 when a conflict has fought inside Ranthambore Fort between King Hameer and Ala-ud-din Khilji. King Hameer was a devout follower of Lord Ganesha and never forgot to pray to him, even during combat.

Lord Ganesha appeared in King Hameer’s dreams one day and told him he would be free of all his problems by the morning. Surprisingly, a Lord Ganesh emblem appeared on one of the Fort’s walls early in the morning. Even more shocking was the fact that the war ended on its own.
