Panna national park is located in the Panna and chhatarpur districts of Madhya Pradesh in India. It was declared the twenty-second Tiger reserve of India and the fifth in Madhya Pradesh in 1994. It has an area of 209.53 sq mi. Panna National Park received the Award of Excellence in 2007 as the best-maintained Park in India by the Ministry of Tourism of India.

Best time to visit Panna National Park:

It can enjoy in the winter months(From October to March). The temperature ranges from 10℃ to 25℃; It is quite comfortable for wildlife enthusiasts. Summer brings a higher temperature than comfortable, which is an uncomfortable time to visit the Park. Monsoon season is the breeding season for wild animals. However, winter is the best time to explore Panna National Park because of the pleasant and cool weather conditions.

Panna National Park safari timings:

During the summer season, the timings are morning and evening. The morning safari trip in summer starts from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. Whereas the evening safari timings are from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

The winter safari timings also include two slabs – morning and evening. In the morning safari, the tour starts at 6:30 am and ends at 11:00 pm. In comparison, the evening timings are from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Go to the official site www.mponline.gov.in. You have to register & after going to the wildlife section; you need to fill in details like name, age, gender, nationality, and photo id proof numbers. For Indian nationals, Aadhar cards, passports, driving licenses, and voter id are valid. For foreigners, passport details & country is mandatory. How to Reach the Panna National Park?

Three ways transports are available.

By Air:

From the Khajuraho airport, they are lying 26 km away. Daily flights are available from Delhi. A taxi driver will take you to the forests from the airport.

By Train:

The Jhansi is the nearest railhead from the forest. Jhansi is 176 km from the forest. A 4 hr road trip on a taxi or bus is required to reach the reserve. Getting down at Satna is also an option.

By Road:

Panna is connected to Bhopal via NH 86 via chhatarpur and NH 75. Bus services are available for the forest.

It is also accessible from Gwalior. A straight drive down Jhansi via NH 78 and Chhatarpur will take you to the National Park.
