About Beechupally Anjaneya Swamy Temple
Beechupally Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located in Beechupally, Itikyal Mandal, Jogulamba Gadwal District. The temple is 200 ms from the riverbank of Krishna. Jurala Project is also near to the temple with a 30 km distance. The presiding deity in the temple is Lord Hanuman with Lord Sri Rama and Lord Shiva. During the rainy season, the water flows high and even touches the Shiva temple. There are two Islands Gurram Guda and Nizam Konda near to Beechupally on the Krishna River. Devotees believe that once visiting this place and had darshan of the deity Lord Hanuman will help all the difficulties in life. The temple is on the National Highway NH-7 and a bridge was constructed in the 1950s. This bridge helps to trade and transit from Andhra Pradesh to the Central States through Telangana.
History of Beechupally Temple
Beechupally Anjaneya Swamy Temple build 200 years ago with the south Indian architecture. According to legends, the Idol of Lord Hanuman was installed by Sri Vyasaraja. After installing, he left and started thinking that he will be moving and leaving the place, who performs Pooja. That night Lord Hanuman appeared in his dream and gave a solution that a young tribal boy named Beechupally offers prayers for the Idol every day. From then the place is called Beechupally and the Lord is known as “Beechupally Rayudu”. Later on Madhwa Brahmins and now Gadwal Rulers are allowed to perform rituals at the temple.
Gadwal Rulers will conduct the religious chariot festival every year and give support to the temple. For every 12 years, Krishna Pushkaras are held. Devotees believe that the water of the Krishna River during Pushkaras will have supernatural powers. Telangana State government constructed many permanent Ghats for the convenience of the people.

Festivals Celebrated at Anjaneya Swamy Temple
The main and important festival celebrated here is Hanuman Jayanthi in the month of April and Narasimha Jayanthi in Vaishaka Masam. Every day devotees perform Yagnas and Poojas at the temple on auspicious days. Many devotees visit the temple on Tuesdays, Sundays and all public holidays. The devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana visit the temple.
