Sri Kalahasti is one of the Pilgrimplace in Tirupati district Andhra Pradesh. It is named after Sri (spider), Kala (snake) and Hasti (elephant) once worshipped Lord Shiva and finally attained Moksha. Sri Kalahasti is on the riverbank of Swarnamukhi. The Sri Kalahasti temple is also called Rahu-kethu kshetra and Dakshina Kailasam. The main deity of the temple is Lord Shiva along with Parvathi, worshipped as Gnana Prasunambika.
