Annavaram Temple | History, Timings & Accommodation

The Annavaram Satyanarayana Swamy temple is one of the most famous temples in India. It is located atop the hill in Kakinada city in Andhra Pradesh. Lord Satyadev and his life partner, goddess Sri Anantha Lakshmi, are this Temple’s presiding deities. Annavaram temple timings & accommodation will be on the temple website.

Lord Satyanarayana is one of the avatars of Lord Vishnu; among the deities present in the Temple, the leading Creator is Lord Satyadev, who demonstrates all the three principal gods of Hindus – Lord Shiva, Lord Brahma, and Lord Vishnu.

The base of Lord Satyadev’s idol represents Lord Brahma. The top represents Lord Vishnu, and the middle portion represents Lord Shiva. The uniqueness of this Temple attracts many devotees and pilgrims who visit it.

Annavaram Temple History:

According to Hindu history, Lord Vishnu settled on the top of a hill like Lord Satyadev did in Vedic times. So, Lord Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy is the avatar of Lord Vishnu. Hence, this Temple is located on the top of Ratnagiri hill.

According to our ancestors, the Lord came into the dream of one of the zamindars, Ramanarayan, in 1891. Lord told him to construct the Temple on the top of the hill. As a result, the Temple was built on the top of Ratnagiri hill.

You can see the glory of Lord Satyadev in religious books like “Skandapuranam”. The Annavaram temple is very historical, so visit the Temple.

The Architecture of the Temple:

The Annavaram Satyanarayana Swamy temple has rich architecture. The main Temple looks like a chariot with four wheels on the four corners of the Temple. The wheels of the chariot are symbols of the passage of time. There are some other small temples around the main Temple.

The devotees also admire the small temples. Hence, there are many facilities provided for the devotees. Some mandapas can conduct thousands of Satyanarayana Vratams.

There is also a Veda Patashala on the temple premises. The students get free accommodation and shelter.
