Vaikuntapuram Venkateswara Swamy Temple

Vaikuntapuram Venkateswara Swamy Temple is a Vaishnavaite Temple located in Vaikuntapuram village of Tenali in Guntur district.

This Vaikuntapuram Temple Tenali dedicates to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. It is believed that the Lord here is Swayambhu or self-manifested.

The founder of this Temple is Sri Tulluru Bala Narasimha Rao Gowda is a Tenali Resident of Tenali town.

One day he received a message from God Nagaraju Swamy in his dream to construct a temple for Lord Venkateswara Swamy with directions.

Therefore, on hearing this message, he has taken a strong decision to dedicate that area where God Nagaraju Swamy resides for construction of the temple to Lord Venkateswara Swamy.

Because of this reason he has handover all the rights of that land. God Nagaraju Swamy also installed in a corner place of this Vaikuntapuram Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

Thus, he has taken all vigorous steps to collect donations from some Solicitous minded donors. Besides that, he contributes his property and utilizes it for the construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

Finally, the temple has been developed in the year 1961.

During 1972, the deities Pratista has been performed in accordance with Vykhanasa Agama. In fact from that day onwards, the importance of this Temple has become most popular.

Consequently, devotees from all parts are visiting this temple.

So, the Endowments Department has taken over the Temple during the year 1973 at that time the temple income is about 50,000 Rs per annum and now the income of this temple is around 62 Lakhs per annum.

By Air:

  • The nearest airport is in Vijayawada which is 46 km away.

On Rail:

  • Guntur railway station is near to Vaikuntapuram. From there you can reach by road thereafter.

  • However, Kanchikacherla, kondapally bus station, and Ibrahimpatnam bus stations are nearby bus stations to Vaikuntapuram.
  • Besides this APSRTC runs a number of buses from all major cities to Vaikuntapuram Venkateswara Swamy Temple.
