Sri Vedanarayana Swamy Temple Nagalapuram is in Nagalapuram, Chittoor District. The deity of the temple is Lord Vishnu in the form of Matsya Avatar. It is one of the 10 forms of Lord Vishnu. This is the only temple of Lord Vishnu in Matsya(fish) Avatar in standing posture.

As per Purana’s, Lord Brahma once slept and the Vedas automatically slipped out of his mouth. An Asura knew as ‘Somaka’ lie sitting tight for this event. He promptly stole the Vedas and went stowing away in the profundities of the sea.

By Road: APSRTC bus stations of Puttur and Tiruttani runs buses to nearby cities. So, frequent buses are available to reach the temple.
