Komuravelli Mallanna Temple | History & Timings

Komuravelli Mallanna Swamy temple is on the hill in Komuravelli village, Siddipet District. Komrelly Mallanna is also popular as Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy and Komrelly Mallanna Swamy. The temple’s presiding deity is Lord Shiva with Golla Kethamma, Goddess Ganga, Medalamma, and Goddess Parvathi. Komuravelli Mallanna Temple timings are from 4:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

Maharashtra people called Mallanna Khandoba. Oggu Katha singers sing the story of Mallanna here. In this temple, Oggu Pujaris draws Rangoli as Patnam (A form of offering prayers)in front of Lord Mallanna.

Many devotees offer prayers to Mallanna with the help of Oggu Pujaris. It is believed that the clay mould deity of Lord Mallanna was made 500 years ago. Komrelly Mallanna temple is a very famous temple in Telangana State.

The Endowments Department renovated the temple mandapam and choultries, among others. Konda Pochamma temple is near Mallanna temple. Devotees who visit the Mallanna temple also visit the Konda Pochamma temple.

History of Komrelly Mallanna Swamy Temple

Komuravelli Mallanna Swamy’s history does not have any written script. The story of Mallanna is sung as Oggu Katha by singers; according to that, Swamy Mallanna married Goddess Medalamma. The Medalamma brothers put some conditions on Mallanna for getting married to Medalamma. Medalamma here is called Bramarambika, companion of Lord Shiva.

Komaranna from the Yadava community self-punished Lord Shiva and installed the Idol on the hill. The Mallanna Idol is 8 feet long and made with clay.

Festivals  Celebrated at Komuravelli Mallanna Temple

Komuravelli Mallanna Jathara is famous and attracts a vast number of devotees. Komuravelli Mallanna Jathara begins from Sankranthi to Ugadi festivals; devotees visit the temple every Sunday during Jathara and pray to Lord Shiva. Agni Gundaalu is celebrated before Sunday in Ugadi. Maha Shivaratri is also celebrated grandly. The deity of the temple is coloured once a year.

The temple provides an accommodation facility with 200+ rooms for people from far and from other states. Komuravelli Devasthanam Board coloured all the rooms and temples in yellow, which means those are under the registration of temple property. There are many other hotels and lodges available to stay near the temple.

There are several TSRTC buses available to reach Komuravelli Mallanna Swamy temple.

The nearest railway station is Jangaon, which is connected by trains from India.

    Online Rooms bookings are not available. Sri Komuravelli Mallikarjuna swamy temple have less Rooms. But you can get Accommodation privately.

    Actually we have a room in komuraaveli so how can we book that in online . Every time we will on kalyanam day to submit aa receipt in Office but this time we can’t so we want to book a room in online , so please could you help me

  4. Is there any possibility to visit on srirama Navami,
    I listened that after Ugadhi festival the temple should be closed. Is that correct
