Jatoli Temple Solan is one of the tallest temples of Lord Shiva. This temple is in Jatoli village which is very near to Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. About Jatoli Shiv Temple Solan History
This is a very ancient temple. Although the reconstruction was started in 2002, temple authorities allowed devotees to visit this in the year of its completion in 2013, Feb. The temple has a gold rod at its roof. It is believing that Lord Shiva was lived in a small cave which is beside the temple. Also, there is a small shiv lingam in this cave to that proof. In addition, about 300 meters away from the temple there is shiv lingam in black color. Generally, we can also see Nandi along with Shiv Lingam.
The name of this village jatoli came from the word Jata which mean hair of Lord Shiv. Mahashivarathri is the grant festival which is being celebrated every year. On the day, devotees will come to this temple and perform jagaram with the chanting of Lord Shiv. So, Shivratri is the best time to visit this temple and offer prayers to god.

Morning timings: 5 AM – 1 PM
Evening Timings: 3 PM – 8 PM
How to reach?
- If we want to reach this temple through the air, then airports of Shimla and Chandigarh are the nearest to the temple. From there, we can reach this village through public or private transport which is about 30 – 40 km from the airport.
- As no bus service is available for this temple, we have to reach the near town solan by bus or train and from there by taxi or private transport.
